96 violations of “anti-sanctions legislation” were detected by officers of the Urals Electronic Customs in 2023. Most often these were attempts to export goods from the list of restrictions. There were also attempts to conduct foreign trade transactions through banks of unfriendly countries. “There were cases when goods are not prohibited for export from Russia, the delivery was made to Turkey, but settlements on the transaction were made in Western European countries. Accordingly, such goods declarations were prohibited for release,” said Sergey Epifanov, head of the Urals Electronic Customs Office
The illegal export of timber and lumber has also been cut off. The most common violation is the declaration of false information in order to reduce the customs duty. Urals timber is most often exported to CIS countries
In total, in 2023, the Ural Electronic Customs Office initiated 1073 cases of administrative offenses, which is 2 times more than in 2022. Most often Urals entrepreneurs declared false information about the classification of goods and the customs value of goods
