Two tons of illegal oranges tried to be exported from Moscow to Kazakhstan

Mobile group of Chelyabinsk customs together with officers of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia of the Chelyabinsk region prevented the illegal export of two tons of citrus fruits. The cargo vehicle was detected near the Bugristoye checkpoint on the Russian-Kazakh border. The fruit was being transported by road from Moscow to Kazakhstan for sale
“After opening the cargo compartment of the truck, 100 boxes of citrus fruits of 20 kg each were found. The carrier did not have a phytosanitary certificate for the transported products,” said Stanislav Vasyov, deputy head of Chelyabinsk customs.
The vehicle was found to have no phytosanitary certificate
The vehicle with illegal products was returned to the territory of Russia. The materials have been transferred to Rosselkhoznadzor for a procedural decision
This year, mobile groups prevented six cases of illegal movement of food products weighing a total of 33 tons: flour, meat, fish, honey, wheat, oranges
