An Istanbul passenger was carrying more than 120 T-shirts and polos “for himself”

An illegal import of a batch of items from Turkeywas stopped at Sochi airport.

In the course of customs control of the flight “Istanbul-Sochi” employees of the post Sochi Airport of Krasnodar Customs stopped a man passing through the “green corridor”. During customs examination of his luggage with the help of X-ray equipment, a large number of homogeneous items were found

“The citizen’s suitcases contained more than 120 items of foreign-made clothing (men’s polo shirts and T-shirts) with a total weight of about 25 kilograms,” explained Ivan Leoshko, head of the customs post at Sochi Airport.

The citizen did not submit a customs declaration. According to him, he was carrying a batch of things for personal use. The goods were seized, and a case of administrative offense was initiated under Part 1 of Article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-declaration or false declaration of goods).
