In the run-up to the hajj, Samara Customs reminds the basic rules for crossing the customs border, which should be taken into account in preparation for the pilgrimage

Special attention should be paid to the rules of transportation of medicines containing narcotic drugs, psychotropic or potent substances. For unhindered transportation of medicines it is necessary to fill in the passenger customs declaration with the indication of the drug and have the appropriate documents – a valid doctor’s prescription or any other medical document confirming the validity of export/import of medicines and its use for medical purposes

In addition, a passenger customs declaration must be completed in the following cases:

1) the customs value of goods imported by air transport exceeds 10 thousand euros in equivalent, and (or) the total weight of which exceeds 50 kg;

2) the amount of cash being transported exceeds the equivalent of 10 thousand US dollars;

Samara Customs reminds that from March 2, 2022 it is temporarily prohibited to export cash foreign currency exceeding the equivalent of 10 thousand U.S. dollars

Cultural values cannot be moved without filling in a declaration (at the same time, a special permit from the Ministry of Culture is required for export)
