The Ural customs officers have stopped contraband of a forest

Employees of the Ural operative customs in conjunction with the FSB of Russia in Sverdlovsk region has revealed the channel of illegal deliveries of the wood from the Sverdlovsk region in Uzbekistan. According to operational data, the citizen of Uzbekistan exported more than 1000 m3 of wood worth about 10 million rubles. He was illegally excavated in Pervouralsk city district.

Customs officers as a result quickly-search actions have found out that the owner in the goods declarations pointed out the false information. In particular, the businessman provided the contracts of sale with the company that never sold him wood.

Urals operational customs office opened 2 criminal case under article 226.1 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation. For smuggling of strategically important goods and resources to the businessman threatens till 7 years of imprisonment. The investigation is underway.
