Koltsovsk customs officers prevented the import of 105 kilograms of undeclared clothes and shoes

Koltsovsk customs officers stopped a female passenger on a flight from Istanbul who was carrying several weighty bags in the green corridor. During the inspection it turned out that the woman brought 105 kilograms of textiles, clothes and shoes. The luggage included dresses, tunics, down jackets, shoes, towels and mattress covers.
The passenger told the inspectors that she had bought things in Turkey and wanted to resell them at the wholesale market in Yekaterinburg. She did not know that the goods had to be declared.
The customs officers sent the items for commodity examination, which established that the value of the whole lot was almost 300 thousand rubles. The woman faces a fine of half to twice the value of all the goods.
«For the time being, the goods remained in a temporary storage warehouse. The passenger has an opportunity to submit a declaration for the goods according to all the rules, and then pick up her cargo» – said Sergey Borovik, Head of the Customs Post of Koltsovo Airport (passenger);
