About competence of customs authorities in respect of vehicles imported by individuals

From April 11, 2020, entered into force order of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation from 14.01.2020 No. 4n “On the competence of customs authorities for the Commission of certain customs operations in respect of goods”.
The specified Order of the Russian Finance Ministry does not make changes to the list of customs bodies of the far Eastern region is competent for the performance of customs operations in respect of vehicles for personal use. In its content this order, similar to the current earlier order of the FCS of Russia of July 17, 2014 № 1372 “On the competence of the customs bodies on carrying out customs operations for excisable and certain other types of goods transported by individuals for personal use”

The order of the Ministry of Finance of Russia from 14.01.2020 No. 4n does not change the current procedure of customs operations in respect of roaming individuals vehicles.

For registration of a vehicle to an individual must fill in a passenger customs Declaration, to confirm information about the car documents, to pay the customs fees.
