Buryat customs officers seized cryptocurrency mining machines from a Mongolian citizen

Cryptocurrency mining machines banned for export were found by Buryat customs officers in the possession of a Mongolian citizen returning home.

The woman crossed the border by cab through the Kyakhta checkpoint. She was carrying two undeclared Watsminer M21 devices

The offender told customs officers that she did not own the devices and was transporting them at the request of a woman she did not know for a reward of 400 rubles

Two cases on administrative offenses were initiated against the woman under articles 16.2 (non-declaration of goods) and 16.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (failure to comply with prohibitions and restrictions).
