Coal began to decorate the Magadan customs after the opening of navigation in Chukotka

In Chukotka, has opened a Maritime navigation. In the checkpoint “Beringovskiy” arrived the first ship – bulk carrier “Feronia” for loading coal for shipment to China. In 2019 through this checkpoint were exported – 555 thousand tons of coal.

Sea port of “Beringovsky” was the first, opened in Chukotka, the checkpoint in the navigation 2020. This year it is planned to export 700 thousand tons of coal.

According to the chief duty of a customs post Alexander Brakina, in the navigation season at Chukotka will operate 3 sea crossing points: “Beringovskiy”, “Providence” and “Anadyr”. The port of Pevek will also make the foreign-going vessels with foreign goods on Board, but cleared through customs.

Implementation of the project for the export of coal (by volume 159,6 thousand tons) in the sea checkpoint “Beringovskiy” began in 2017 on a temporary basis for the period of navigation. In 2018, the checkpoint was opened on a permanent basis. Exports of coal in 2018 amounted to 393 thousand tonnes.
