Sakhalin Customs: more than 111 million rubles of fines paid by entrepreneurs and individuals for offenses in 2023

More than 111 million rubles paid to repay debts on administrative fines were transferred by Sakhalin Customs to the federal budget in 2023. Fines were paid by foreign trade participants and individuals in 231 administrative cases

In connection with the liberalization of the legislation on administrative offences, individuals and legal entities have the opportunity to pay fines in the amount of half the amount of the imposed fine. With the application of the discount in 2023, violators paid more than 2 million rubles

Sakhalin Customs also granted deferral/extension of execution of administrative fines, taking into account the status of the person, business reputation, availability of production, number of jobs. In 2023, due to the difficult financial situation of the involved persons, deferred  execution was granted for the amount of more than 105 million rubles.

Discount – a discount in the amount of half of the amount of the imposed administrative fine in cases of administrative offenses revealed in the course of the implementation of state control (supervision), which is granted to a person brought to administrative responsibility, or to another individual or legal entity not later than twenty days from the date of issuance of a resolution on the imposition of an administrative fine, if its payment is not deferred and not by installments (part 1.3-3 of article 32.2 of the CAO RF).
