Sakhalin customs officers honored the memory of soldiers-internationalists

 

Sakhalin customs officers honored the memory of all the combatants who were on duty outside the Fatherland. Thematic event was held in the Museum complex “Victory” with participation of soldiers-internationalists.

Today at the customs office serving eight employees – participants of war in Afghanistan and the fighting in the North Caucasus. Is Viktor Panin, Alexander Volkov, Sergei Morgun, Oleg Chetyrin, Andrew Ceramiche, Andrei Saveliev, Peter Orlov, Nikita Borodin.

The event was attended the annual guests of honor – Chairman of the Sakhalin regional branch of the Association of employees of law-enforcement agencies and special services of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tsvetkov, Chairman of the Sakhalin regional Council of veterans of war in Afghanistan and other fighting Ivan Lakhno. Retired Colonel Vladimir Tsvetkov shared living pages of history, told about the storming of Amin’s Palace in which he participated. Ivan also spoke about the contribution of the veterans ‘ organization.

Today we not only remember the painful history and died in those battles, but we draw to this subject the attention of a younger generation, – said the chief of the Sakhalin customs Victor Golichev. – It is very important that their ideals were based on love of country and patriotism.

In the Museum complex “Victory” of the participants had the opportunity not only to visit the interactive halls, dedicated to different periods of military history of Fatherland, but also to remember the past on the simulators, simulating the armored, military “lorry” GAS. As it turned out, combat skills are not forgotten, and the electronic machine, the feeling is not inferior to mechanics.

Sakhalin customs officers and veterans honored the memory of all soldiers with a minute of silence and laid flowers to the memorial Crying mother on the Slava square in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
