Almost 30% increase in the number of international packages, designed Kamchatka customs office for 5 months 2020

94 international mail arriving at the address of physical persons, issued Kamchatka customs in January – may 2020. This is almost 30% more than last year.

Of these, 78 packages decorated with the payment of customs duties. Compared to the same period of 2019 number of parcels issued with payment of customs duties has increased by almost two times (January-may 2019 42 parcels). The main reason for this, said the acting head of the customs post Sea port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Kamchatka customs Alain Gureeva decreasing from 1 January 2020, the cost norms of duty-free import of goods for personal use from 500 euros to 200 euros, up to 31 kg (weight norm has not changed). The amount of customs duties paid by individuals for the five months of 2020, was about 150 thousand rubles.

The frequency of movement of goods now is not considered as the basis for levying duty from 1 January 2020 considers the weight and value of each individual parcel. Previously, calculations of fees were taken into account the total weight and value of packages sent to one individual for one month.

The range of goods sent by parcels varied. Most citizens are imported clothes, shoes, spare parts for cars/motorcycles and parts for computers. Roaming among the original products were liners from chewing gum, slingshot, flute, model airplane, quadrocopter.
