The management of the Southern Customs Directorate and Novorossiysk Customs met with participants of the All-Russian Conference of Commissioners for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights

The leadership of the Southern Customs Administration and Novorossiysk Customs met with the participants of the All-Russian Conference of Commissioners for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights and business forum «Business Meeting of the South», which was held in Kuban.
The participants of the event visited the Novorossiysk South-Eastern Customs Post, which according to the results of its activity in 2022 was recognized by the Federal Customs Service of Russia as the winner in the nomination «Best customs post team in a different from the automobile checkpoint». In the area of the customs post is located LLC «Container Terminal «NUTEP», on the infrastructure of the terminal and its functioning told the deputy director of operation Nikolai Sheiko. Yuri Shlapak, Head of the customs post, told about customs control, about the peculiarities of moving cargo vehicles on RO-RO type vessels of regular ferry service between Russia and Turkey.
During the Conference, regional business ombudsmen had a working meeting with the leadership of the Southern Customs Department and Novorossiysk Customs, where they discussed the issues of stimulating business activity, reducing the administrative burden on business, and creating conditions conducive to accelerating trade turnover.
Deputy Head of the Southern Customs Directorate – Head of the Federal Customs Revenue Service of the Southern Customs Directorate, Major General of the Customs Service Sergei Rudov in his welcoming speech drew attention to the reorientation of logistics routes caused by the actions of unfriendly countries, which in turn led to the intensification of the movement of goods through the sea port of Novorossiysk.
– In 2023, there was a change in logistics routes and an increase in the flow of goods in the South of Russia. The volume of imported goods in the region of the Southern Customs Directorate increased by 40%, to date, the customs of the region transferred to the federal budget of the country more than 600 billion rubles of customs payments, this figure increased compared to last year by 1.5 times, – indicated Sergei Mikhailovich. – Great merit in this and Novorossiysk customs, which transferred to the federal budget 485.6 billion rubles. The Customs is the leader among the customs in the south of Russia in terms of value and weight of foreign trade, as well as the transfer of funds to the federal budget.
Acting Head of Novorossiysk Customs Andrei Onipko spoke about the main tasks of the Federal Customs Service in connection with the introduction of sanctions against Russia. The Customs Service’s work in the new realities was quickly reorganized, with special attention focused on the implementation of a set of measures to provide comprehensive support for foreign trade participants. Among the key measures to support business, the country’s leadership decided to zero the rates of import customs duties and apply tariff benefits to the most important categories of goods – food, medicines, essential goods, – emphasized Andrei Viktorovich.
Acting First Deputy Head of Customs Ivan Syanov addressed the audience. In his report Ivan paid attention to the implementation of a set of measures to introduce advanced customs technologies in order to reduce the time of customs operations and customs control. Deputy Head of Customs Alexey Tepin told about financial and economic measures of business support, Head of the Legal Department of Customs Tatyana Koryakina explained the pre-trial procedure of dispute settlement and the advantages of departmental appeal of decisions in the field of customs affairs.
During the meeting the business ombudsmen received a number of questions, to which they gave comprehensive answers and comments.
