When conducting customs inspection of a large shipment of office equipment that arrived at the port of Novorossiysk from Turkey for an entrepreneur from the Moscow region, Novorossiysk customs officers discovered the fact of non-declaration of more than 7 tons of goods according to the established form. – Employees of the customs inspection department of the Novorossiysk South-East Customs Post conducted a customs inspection of the entire consignment. As a result, undeclared goods – 897 units of office equipment weighing more than 7 tons and costing more than 14 million rubles – was detected and seized, – commented Acting Head of the Department of Administrative Investigations Alexander Shirstyuk. – Participants of foreign economic activity may, before submitting a declaration to the customs authority, preliminarily inspect the goods and make sure that their quantity and characteristics correspond to the concluded contract (Article 84 of the Customs Code of the EAEU). In this case, the foreign trade participant did not use this right

Novorossiysk customs initiated a case of administrative offense under part 1 of article 16.2 of the CAO RF (non-declaration of goods subject to customs declaration in the prescribed form). As a result of consideration of the case on administrative offense, the participant of foreign economic activity was found guilty, and a fine was imposed on him
