More than 120 pounds of seafood were detained in Sakhalin customs officers on the vessel in Nevel’sk

A stash of seafood found on the ship, the customs officers together with employees of the Border guard Department of FSB of Russia across the Sakhalin region. More than 120 kg of crab, trumpeter and other delicacies were brought by sailors returning from fishing.

Bags and boxes with frozen and dried seafood were hidden in the engine room of the ship and in the production room. It is noteworthy that the crew had permission to catch the products of another species. The origin of the goods will establish a border service.

Sakhalin customs has opened an administrative case on the fact of movement of goods across the state border of the Russian Federation way, complicating detection (part 2, article 16.1 KoAP of the Russian Federation). For withholding the penalty from one-half to two times the value of the goods not excluded confiscating them.

Recall that for personal use is allowed to import not more than 5 kg of products of animal origin in their original packaging.
