Mobile groups of Chelyabinsk Customs strengthened control over cargo carriers

On the eve of the New Year holidays, inspectors of mobile groups strengthen control over compliance with customs legislation on the movement of goods across the Russian-Kazakh border. Customs officers are focused on increasing the efficiency of inspection measures to prevent illegal import and export of products, it is planned to increase the number of employees on duty shifts.
«For 11 months mobile groups of Chelyabinsk customs checked 67 thousand vehicles with goods with a total weight of 1 million tons, revealed half a thousand violations» – comments the head of Chelyabinsk customs Mikhail Ponomarev.
In the Chelyabinsk region three mobile groups carry out their activities. The inspectors have the right to stop and inspect trucks weighing more than 3.5 tons in specially designated places in compliance with the rules and requirements to ensure road safety.
