Khabarovsk customs: nearly 300 live crabs were seized and released into the sea

293 living species of crab found and seized employees of the Khabarovsk customs together with employees of the Border guard Department of FSB of Russia across Khabarovsk Krai and Jewish Autonomous region.

Performing patrol the waters of the Tatar Strait on the customs vessel “Valeriy Zubkov”, the staff of the two agencies has found 11 water traps, installed in five citizens of Russia for the purpose of illegal extraction of water biological resources. At the conclusion of the ichthyologist, from the traps of seized live specimens of the crab: the crab and the crab hairy quadrangular.

Crabs released into their natural habitat. Damage prevented amounted to more than two million rubles.

In relation to the detainees of the decision on excitation of criminal case under part 3 of article 256 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “Illegal extraction (catch) of aquatic biological resources”.
