Chelyabinsk Customs named import and export leaders in food products
Chelyabinsk customs officers have calculated what food products are imported into the region and sent abroad.
The leaders among imported foodstuffs are onions and garlic, the supplies of which have increased 41 times. Cabbage is next in terms of supply volumes (6-fold increase compared to the same period last year). The next most popular imported products are alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, they have become 3 times more on the market. In turn, tomatoes were imported 1.5 times less this year, and edible root crops (carrots, turnips, beets, radishes) on the contrary – more 8 times.
Cereals became the leader of regional export: 3 times more than last year, wheat supplies increased 2 times. The volume of South Urals sunflower oil doubled on the shelves of foreign stores. Among the most exported goods are traditionally pasta products, and wheat flour producers have doubled their export capacity.
