The procedure and conditions for storage of cognac distillates in warehouses of temporary storage

North Caucasus customs administration informs that the activities for production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products, except for the cases established by paragraph 1 of article 18 of the Federal law from November 22, 1995 № 171-FZ “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products and about restriction of consumption (drinking) of alcoholic products” (further – the Federal law No. 171-FZ) the subject of licensing.

Under the turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products refers to the purchase (including import), supply (including export), storage, transportation and retail.

In accordance with paragraph 2 of article 18 of Federal law No. 171-FZ licenses are issued, including on the implementation of the storage of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing food products.

Taking into account the provisions of paragraph 1 of article 2 of Federal law No. 171-FZ, cognac distillate refers to ethyl alcohol, respectively, activity on storage is also subject to licensing.

Paragraph 1 of article 26 of the Federal law No. 171-FZ prohibits the production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products without proper licenses.
