The first batch of containers along a new transit route North Europe – Asia issued the Nakhodka customs

37 containers for a new transit route North Europe – Asia issued the Nakhodka customs. Containers with lumber, chemical products and cloth arrived in Vostochny port (Primorsky Krai) on the TRANS-Siberian railway from Northern Europe through the port of Saint-Petersburg. Then the cargo headed to ports in South Korea and Japan. The route allows to reduce time of cargo delivery between Europe and Asia more than 2 times.

As has told the chief of Department of control over customs transit of Nakhodka customs Vladimir Stupin, a new route of delivery of container cargoes from Europe to Asia combines the functionality of rail and sea delivery. The same path in the opposite direction from Asia to Europe is valid from July 2019. During this time on the route Asia – Europe through the port of East proceeded eight batches of goods – 174 of the container.

Help:

The new route operates within the framework of the pilot project, which is implemented by the FCS of Russia and Maersk. The project is aimed at organizing the process of international transit traffic on the route Asia – Europe – Asia and included in the global linear schedule Maersk code АЕ19. The route allows us to reduce delivery time of goods in transit between Asia and Europe 18-20 days vs 42 to 45 days at the traditional sea route through the Suez canal.
