The luggage of more than 2,000 thousand passengers was cleared by customs officers in Yakutia in the first quarter of 2024

2035 passengers crossed the border at the Yakutsk air checkpoint in the region of Khabarovsk Customs in the first quarter of 2024.

So far, this is the only international destination available to residents of the region

For this period, 2035 passengers crossed the border for work and tourist purposes to Yakutsk-Kharbin (PRC) and back. Of them 1684 citizens of Russia, 621 citizens of the PRC. 17 tons of luggage were checked in

International scheduled service from Yakutsk to Harbin resumed from April 6, 2023 after the lifting of covid restrictions. Flights operate twice a week, Monday and Thursday. Flights to Seoul, South Korea, and the Kingdom of Thailand, which were also available before the pandemic, are currently closed.

 During this period, customs officers at the border crossing point initiated 7 cases of administrative offenses under Part 1 of Article 16.2 of the Russian Administrative Code “Non-declaration of goods” and Article 16.3 “Non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions on import and export of goods.” Mostly with violation of the permitted norms passengers import tobacco products, as well as goods for commercial purposes under the guise of goods for personal use (covers for cell phones and wireless headphones)
