Officials of the Rostov customs post (the electronic Declaration Center) in the 1st quarter of 2020 has registered more than 20,000 customs declarations – which is 21% more than in the same period of 2019. Cost and weight of the customs Declaration amounted to 636 million dollars and 377 million tons in weight equivalent. While in the commodity structure of exports is dominated by consumer goods and cereals in the import of consumer goods, seeds and spare parts for agricultural machinery.

A growing number of declarations issued by electronic Declaration center. So, in the 1st quarter of 2020 93% of the total number of registered customs post Rostov customs declarations registered officials of the Rostov customs office.
Head of the Rostov customs office (CED) Andrew Trikoz said: “Special attention is paid to issues of automatic enrollment and automatic release of goods. The automatic registration of the Declaration customs post Rostov on average 1 minute, automatic issue – 4 minutes.
In the 1st quarter of 2020 automatically was 72% and 64% of the total number served at the Rostov customs office (EDC) of the declarations for exported and imported goods, respectively. Automatically share of the released goods in accordance with customs procedures export and import, amounted to 45% and 65% was automatically e-declarations submitted by traders to the low level of risk”.
Of particular importance in connection with the pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19) becomes the technology of remote release, the application of which separated the functions of documentary and actual control between the internal and border customs authorities.
