A batch of children’s electric cars without documents was found by a mobile group of Astrakhan customs in a truck arriving from Kyrgyzstan.

The big truck was stopped by customs officers in the Volgograd region. According to the bill of lading, the truck was carrying 22 tons of assembled cargo – toys, office furniture and auto parts. However, in the cargo compartment, inspectors found 315 electric cars of Chinese manufacture

It was established that the goods were imported into Russia without paying customs duties and taxes. Their approximate market value exceeds 10 million rubles

The cars were seized. Astrakhan Customs initiated a case on administrative offense under Article 16.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (transportation of goods illegally moved across the customs border).

“In 2023, mobile groups seized more than 60,000 items of children’s goods (roller skates, bicycles, chocolate eggs), which can be dangerous when used,” explains Alexander Gurin, deputy head of Astrakhan customs, head of the service of customs control after release of goods
