Smolensk customs officers intercepted the importation of hazardous waste

Smolensk customs officers in the area of the settlement of Krasnaya Gorka Krasninskoe district of Smolensk region detained the car, in the cargo hold of which from Belarus in the Moscow region carrying more than 20 tons of Belarusian plastic film. Code according to the FEACN of the cu, this product belongs to hazardous waste. In the same area have detained another car, but with 18.5 tons of used tires, which are hazardous waste. Goods transported from Minsk to Kyrgyzstan.

Similar goods were detained by customs officers in the area of the settlement Kruglova rudnyansky district, Smolensk oblast a day earlier. 278 of used tires, according to the documents moved from Belarus to Georgia. Country of origin unknown.

– According to Annex 2 to the resolution of the RF Government №442 “On transboundary movement of waste” the goods forbidden to import on territory of the Russian Federation. In this regard, they are returned back to Belarus, – said the chief of the customs control after release of goods of the Smolensk customs Dmitry Vasyukov.
