More than three thousand medical masks gave the Chita customs of the rehabilitation centre for the disabled

3414 medical masks gave the Chita customs Gstate budgetary institution of social service “the Center of medical-social rehabilitation of the disabled “sprout” in Zabaykalsky Krai. The mask was seized by customs in February 2020, the PRC, which followed from Russia to China through the checkpoint MAPP Zabaikalsk.

Employees of the Chita customs found undeclared goods in the Luggage of a Chinese citizen during the customs control. He explained that he was carrying masks in China at the request of a friend for subsequent implementation.

As told the head of Department of assets management and the implementation of the decisions of the competent authorities of the Chita customs Paul Condrin, in the region of the Chita customs is not the first case of illegal export of goods so necessary in combating the spread of infectious diseases. Employees of the Chita customs has repeatedly found a medical mask in technological cavities of the vehicles that followed through the checkpoints.

Chita customs in respect of PRC initiated a case on administrative offense under part 1 of article 16.2 (failure to Declare or false Declaration of goods) of the Code of administrative offences of Russia.

Reference: decision of the Board Eurasian economic Commission of 24 March 2020 No. 41 introduced a ban on the export of certain products: medical masks, gowns, gloves, respirators, goggles, antiviral drugs and other essential commodities.
