Bryansk customs officers intercepted the importation of 260 tons of sanctioned goods

Bryansk customs officers have revealed and have detained 13 trucks carrying more than 260 tons of vegetables and fruits: apples, peaches, pears, oranges, lettuce and onion guys. The event was held in the framework of interaction between the Bryansk and Smolensk customs to strengthen control over the import and circulation of goods at the Russian-Belarusian state border in the Smolensk region while patrolling the highways A-130.

– Shipping documents from carriers absent, – explained the chief of Bryansk customs Igor Eroshin. – But half the shipment was labeled with labels indicating the origin of the vegetables and fruits from the countries included in the sanctions list.

Six trucks with goods for which there was no labelling, transferred to the staff of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Bryansk and Smolensk oblasts for initiating proceedings on AP and destruction.

Carriers brought to administrative responsibility under article 16.3 of the administrative code (violation of the prohibitions and restrictions when importing goods). Smuggled goods destroyed by customs officials and Rosselkhoznadzor in landfills.
