The Krasnodar customs officers revealed counterfeit fabric. Damage to the right owner was more than 247 million rubles

In the Kuban customs post of the Krasnodar customs office during the customs inspection of goods “the Painted cloth” (in the amount of 95 rolls, 6887,5 square meters), arrived from China, customs officers discovered the presence of the applied trademark “Louis Vuitton” .

Due to the detection of signs of counterfeiting, customs sent a request to the representative of the owner about the legality of importation of the goods into the territory of the Russian Federation.

In the course of events it became clear that the declarant did not have any permits for the use of this trademark. The copyright of the specified character is “Louis Vuitton Malletier” (“Louis Vuitton Malletier”), France.

On the fact of illegal use of trademarks criminal case concerning an administrative offence article 14.10 of the administrative code.

The amount of avoided damage to the right holder was 247 950 000 rubles.
