The Yaroslavl customs officers found about 1 kg of strong substances in a parcel from China
About 1 kg of strong substances “pregabalin” was discovered by customs officers in a parcel from China, addressed to the inhabitant of Yaroslavl. The man was detained upon receipt of the shipment at the point of issue of orders of one of urban services of Express delivery as a result of joint operative-investigation actions employees of the Yaroslavl customs and Department of the MIA of Russia in Yaroslavl region.
In the parcel was a package of transparent colorless polymer material with a crystalline substance of white color weight 997,76 grams. The examination established that the seized powder in its composition contains a potent substance “pregabalin”. This drug is anti-epileptic action, possessing the drug effect. For its import to Russia it is necessary the presence of the documents confirming the appointment of the drug to the individual.
Customs officers found that the detainee ordered the medication on one of the trading platforms on the Internet for personal use without having a prescription or recommendation from a doctor.
On the fact of illegal cross-border movement of potent substances in the Yaroslavl customs has opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code. Sanctions article provides punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to 7 years with a fine in the amount up to one million rubles. Investigative actions are carried out.
