Vyborg Customs kinologists recognized as the best in the North-West

Karelia hosted a competition of specialists-customs dog handlers of the North-West Customs Administration.

The teams of Baltic, Vyborg, Karelian, Kingisepp, Murmansk, Pskov and Pulkovo customs houses – a total of 15 canine specialists with their pets – took part in the multiathlon at the Karelian customs house in Petrozavodsk.  

The panel of judges evaluated the level of training of customs cynologists with service dogs in such exercises as “obedience” and “search for imitators of drugs and money signs”. The search took place in various objects: premises, luggage, cars and trucks

In the team competition the first place was won by the team of Vyborg Customs. The second place went to the team of Pskov Customs. “The bronze medal went to Pulkovo Customs

In individual scores in the nominations “obedience” and “search for money signs” the best was recognized Yulia Vyshivalova with her service dog Illusion of Good from Odin (Pulkovskaya Customs), in the nomination “search for narcotics” Yana Dorofeeva with her service dog Messi (Vyborg Customs) took the first place.

The representatives of the Karelian Association of Physical Culture and Sports Society “Dinamo” gave special prizes to the most distinguished cynologists and dogs

 The region’s cynologists and their pets showed a good level of preparation, passing all stages of the competition with dignity, – said Natalia Menshikova, head of the cynological service of the North-West Operational Customs Service.
