127 bottles of smuggled alcohol in Khabarovsk customs officers on the ship in the port of Vanino

127 bottles (more than 43 gallons) of smuggled alcohol was detected by customs officers at the vessel arrived in the port of Vanino port of Donghae (South Korea). Bottles of Korean beer and alcoholic drink was hidden in the pantry of the ship.

Found that drinks have acquired a crew member in the port of Donghae, but knowing about the permissible limits of duty-free import of alcoholic beverages, hid them in the pantry on Board.

In relation to a sailor of the Khabarovsk customs has opened a case on an administrative offense under part 1 of article 16.2 of the administrative code “failure to Declare in the prescribed form of goods subject to customs Declaration”. The offender faces punishment in the form of administrative fine with confiscation of goods or without it.

Currently, the goods seized and placed in a locker before the court decision.

For personal use to individuals under the age of 18, without the payment of customs fees it is allowed to import no more than three liters of alcoholic beverages and beer, and with payment of customs payments – not more than five liters. Alcohol, a total volume of more than 5 gallons are prohibited for import.
