In the course of verification activities, a mobile group of the Saratov customs together with employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor Saratov region and Border Department of the FSB of Russia in the Saratov and Samara areas, the phytosanitary control post “Ozinki”, it was revealed violation of the quarantine law on the import into the Russian Federation from the Republic of Kazakhstan of quarantine products of high phytosanitary risk.

It was determined that two vehicles were imported regulated products – watermelons and rice food with a total weight of 16 tons. Any documents confirming the conformity of products subject to quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the destination country, the carrier has not been submitted.

In accordance with the requirements of the quarantine legislation, the import of these products of high phytosanitary risk to the territory of the Russian Federation was prohibited, issued instructions for the return shipment. Carriers for violation of the procedure for import of quarantine products subject to administrative liability under article 10.2 of the administrative code.
