So, in the actions of a foreign citizen there are signs of a crime under Part 2 of Article 200.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of cash on a particularly large scale). The check is being continued

The head of the customs post Samara Airport Anatoly Zakonov commented on violations related to non-declaration of cash. “Since the beginning of this year we have already revealed 7 such violations. The analysis of their causes showed that not all passengers understand the mechanism of money movement. It should be said that there is no need to pay any duties and taxes when moving significant amounts of cash currency. The procedure consists in informing the customs authority about the presence of such sums by filling in the passenger customs declaration. This is an absolutely free operation that takes no more than 5-7 minutes. In addition, the declaration can be filled out electronically in advance using the official website of the Federal Customs Service of Russia

Passengers are urged to pay attention to the information boards in the arrival and departure areas, as well as, if in doubt, to contact customs officers located in front of the entrance to the “green” corridor
