The customs terminal at the Center SEZ near Voronezh officially accepted the first cargo

Customs terminal on the territory of SEZ «Center» in Novousman district of Voronezh region today officially received the first cargo — equipment for a local beverage manufacturer.
The customs terminal with the area of about 1.8 thousand square meters officially started its work on Tuesday, December 19. Construction of customs infrastructure facilities was carried out within the framework of an agreement between the managing company of the industrial zone — JSC «VINCo» (managing company of SEZ «Center» and industrial park «Maslovsky»), the Ministry of Economic Development and the Federal Customs Service. RUB 366.2 million was allocated for the construction of the facility.
The site accommodates an administrative building, a customs inspection box, an inspection platform for six cars, parking lots for cars under customs control and cars with elevated radiation background, as well as a checkpoint with a canopy and scales.
The customs terminal will reduce the cost of goods and services produced by SEZ «Center» residents, as well as simplify logistics chains. A free customs zone regime will operate here. It will allow companies to get zero percent rate on customs payments and not to pay VAT on import of goods.
Now in the special economic zone there are 12 residents with the declared volume of investments of 33.6 billion rubles and the expected creation of 3.13 thousand jobs.
«At the moment, customs operations are carried out by the Levoberezhny customs post. But in connection with the presence of residents’ requests on the need to organize round-the-clock passage of goods and vehicles, as well as the planned increase of the SEZ territory more than 7 times, it is planned to create a separate customs post» – said the head of Voronezh customs Gennady Tolochko.
