St. Petersburg customs found 149 kilograms of banned products

Officials of the Department of customs control after release of goods of St. Petersburg customs together with employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Saint-Petersburg, Leningrad and Pskov regions and St. Petersburg transport Prosecutor’s office revealed the fact of realization of banned products.

During carrying out customs inspection of premises and territories one of the markets of St. Petersburg was discovered 149 pounds of cheese and butter, sausages, produced in Austria, the UK, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Finland, France, Sweden, Estonia. The goods seized and destroyed.

Saint-Petersburg customs reminds that the products produced in EU countries prohibited for import to the territory of the Russian Federation in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 6 August 2014 No. 560, which was extended to 31 December 2020, and the government of the Russian Federation of 7 August 2014 No. 778.
