Vyborg customs officers found illegal cigarettes worth half a million rubles

Since the beginning of the year, Vyborg customs officers have found more than six thousand packs of cigarettes on the domestic market without excise stamps of the Russian Federation and mandatory labeling.

In the course of raids on retail outlets of Vyborg city and district customs officers revealed facts of tobacco products sale with violation of rules of obligatory marking with means of identification and without excise stamps

– In the stores of Vyborg and Svetogorsk found 6 337 packs of cigarettes of various brands without mandatory labeling. The amount of damage is about 500 thousand rubles, – said Lyubov Chursova, deputy head of Vyborg customs – head of the service of customs control after release of goods

The illegal tobacco products have been seized.

For reference:from July 1, 2020 on the territory of Russia it is not allowed to import and circulation of tobacco products without marking in accordance with the Government of the Russian Federation from February 28, 2019 № 224 “On approval of the Rules of marking tobacco products and the peculiarities of implementation of the state information system for monitoring the turnover of goods subject to mandatory marking, means of identification, in respect of tobacco products.”
