Smolensk customs officers stopped the export of 345 kg of red caviar without documents

The mobile group of Smolensk customs stopped the export of 345 kg of salmon caviar from Russia to Belarus, which was transported without veterinary accompanying  documents.
Customs officers stopped the car on the federal highway «M-1 Belarus» in Krasninsky district of Smolensk region. Inside the vehicle was found chum salmon caviar in plastic containers.
«Since the goods were transported without the necessary veterinary documents confirming the quality and safety of the products, they were handed over to specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor Department for Bryansk, Smolensk and Kaluga regions for control within the existing powers», — reported the head of Smolensk customs Rustam Yakubov.
Two weeks earlier, Smolensk customs officers stopped the export of more than 1 thousand tin cans of salmon caviar weighing more than 150 kg to Belarus with similar violations. The goods were handed over to Rosselkhoznadzor officers.
It was found out that there were no veterinary accompanying documents, and the company declared as the caviar manufacturer was not operating. The guilty person was brought to administrative responsibility by the Rosselkhoznadzor Department, the products were utilized in accordance with the requirements of veterinary legislation, and information on this fact was sent to law enforcement agencies.
