Astrakhan customs officers detected more than 16 thousand roller skates and other Chinese goods with violations

A batch of undeclared goods was found by a mobile group of the Astrakhan customs in two trucks.
The trucks were traveling from different cities of Kazakhstan to Rostov-on-Don and were stopped by customs officers in the Volgograd region. During the customs inspection it was found that in the cargo compartments of vehicles were moved in cardboard boxes more than 16 thousand goods without declaration: 10584 pairs of roller skates, 2860 radios of various models, 2640 tourist folding chairs, 172 units of chaise lounges. There were no documents confirming the customs clearance of foreign goods in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to the conclusion of the customs expertise, the market value of the goods exceeds 26 million rubles. The amount of unpaid customs duties – more than 7 million rubles.
The goods have been seized. Astrakhan Customs initiated 2 criminal cases on the fact of evasion of customs payments, committed on an especially large scale under part 1 of article 194 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and 2 cases on administrative offenses under article 16.21 of the CAO RF (transportation of goods that are illegally moved across the customs border of the EAEU). One of the types of administrative punishment for this violation is confiscation of goods and subsequent transfer into the ownership of the state.
