Cigarettes without labeling and with fake stamps were detected by customs officers in Bataysk

Officers of the department of control over importation and turnover of goods of the customs control service after the release of goods of Rostov Customs together with officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia conducted a customs inspection of the premises and territories of two retail outlets in the city of Bataysk (Rostov region)

In the course of the inspection among the products presented in the stores was found a total of about 900 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps of the Russian Federation and without marking with special means of identification, which is a sign of illegal importation into the territory of the EAEU. Also found 3 000 packs of cigarettes produced by EAEU member states without excise stamps of the Russian Federation and 679 packs with signs of counterfeit excise stamps of the Russian Federation. In addition, customs officers found more than 600 electronic nicotine delivery systems and replacement cartridges without excise stamps and “Data Matrix” labeling. The entrepreneurs did not have shipping documents for the goods.

The illegally sold tobacco products totaling about 5,200 units were withdrawn from the trade turnover by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Bataysk. Further verification measures are being carried out
