In the region where the Siberian Customs Directorate operates, the number of electric-powered cars imported by individuals for personal use has increased from 72 in 2022 to 460 in 2023
Siberian customs officers issued 6.3 times more customs entry orders for electric cars at the end of last year. Residents of Siberia imported such vehicles from both the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and non-CIS countries. Most of all eco-friendly cars were imported to the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Novosibirsk Region
“The Siberian climate does not hinder the growing popularity of electric vehicles,” said Dmitry Kolykhanov, deputy head of STU. – The amount of customs payments and utilization fee transferred to the federal budget last year as a result of registration of electric vehicles increased to 228 million rubles
