The topic of the meeting between Alexander Yastrebov, head of the Siberian Customs Directorate, and Anatoly Seryshev, plenipotentiary representative of the Russian President in the Siberian Federal District, was the results of the work of Siberian customs in the past year and priorities for 2024.

Alexander Yastrebov emphasized that the main efforts of customs authorities of NTU in 2023 year were aimed at meeting the objectives of the Strategy for the development of the customs service of the Russian Federation until 2030. Customs authorities of Siberia provided the priority order of customs operations in respect of socially important goods, products for the development of industrial complex projects, detected and suppressed crimes and administrative offenses in the customs sphere

At the end of the year, the STU added 64 billion 413 million rubles to the Russian budget, exceeding its targets by almost 28% (14 billion rubles)

Separately, Alexander Yastrebov noted the reduction in the time of release of goods – by almost an hour compared to 2022.

In general, more than 95% of the total declaration array is now released within a day.

The level of conflict potential also decreased at the end of the year –  the number of court cases with customs authorities decreased by more than a quarter.
