Samara customs continues to fight counterfeiting

Samara customs seized a turnover of around 27 thousand units of goods with signs of counterfeit.

Officials of mobile teams of the Samara customs office on the highway M-5 “Ural”, at the entrance to Orenburg, was stopped a cargo vehicle EN route from Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation. According to the submitted shipping documents in the truck carrying the consignment of goods “automotive spare parts in stock”. During the inspection of cargo by customs inspectors was discovered the goods marked registered trademarks of NISSAN.

In the ensuing customs inspection of consignment identified 26 960 units of goods with signs of counterfeit, trademark “NISSAN”.

In response to the request of the customs authority of the representative of the owner confirmed the illegality of the use of its trademark.

Samara customs office opened a case on an administrative offence responsibility for which is provided part 1 of article 14.10 of the administrative code “Illegal use of trademark”, the product is withdrawn, conducted an administrative investigation.
