Pskov customs: cigarette instead of potatoes found in the cargo compartment of the vehicle

Employees of the Pskov customs prevented the illegal import in the Russian Federation 135 thousand packs of cigarettes of the Belarusian production.

The PPU “Nevel” on the Russian-Belarusian border when entering from the territory of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation as a result of the survey revealed a cigarette in the vehicle be moved according to shipping documents 5 tonnes of ware potatoes.

270 cartons of cigarettes were located between mesh potatoes. 135 thousand packs of cigarettes produced in the Republic of Belarus illegally imported into the territory of the Russian Federation the citizen of a neighboring state. To unload the goods was planned in Saint-Petersburg.

Upon failure to comply with the restrictions of the carrier initiated a case on administrative offense. 135 thousand packs of cigarettes seized. Conducted an administrative investigation.

For reference: by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation from February, 20th, 2010 № 76 “On excise stamps for labeling of imported into the Russian Federation of tobacco products” prohibits the import into the Russian Federation of tobacco products without labelling with excise stamps.
