Irkutsk customs officers celebrate the 75th anniversary of the great Victory
On the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war of Irkutsk customs officers, veterans of the customs service paid tribute to memory of military and labor heroism of all those who defended the freedom of our country.
The chief of Irkutsk customs the General-the major of customs service Yuri Rusakov on speaker congratulated the staff of the customs of the upcoming holiday, saying: “We remember what the price went to this Great Victory. There is hardly a family not touched by war. With great effort and heroic feats, where men sometimes outnumbered ourselves, our family members have defended the independence and freedom of our Fatherland, both on the battlefields and in the rear. This is our history, family history, history of our country.”

By tradition, representatives of the Irkutsk customs the ritual solemnly laid the basket of flowers to the Eternal flame memorial in Irkutsk.
On the eve of May 9 Irkutsk customs officers (with observance of necessary security requirements in this situation) congratulated and gave gifts to veterans of the great Patriotic war, those who in childhood had experienced all the hardships of war, was a prisoner of concentration camps.
With the 75th anniversary of the great Victory congratulations were received by Vera Baranova – mother served in the Irkutsk customs Alexander Brudzinskogo, Shirokov Viktor – the father of the head of the administrative investigations Department of the Irkutsk customs Tatyana Vashutino.
So, seven years of Vera with her mother, grandmother and three siblings became a prisoner of the concentration camp – first in Lithuania and then in Germany, experienced for three years the brunt of the torture, slavery and famine. Was released in the spring of 1945. Later he devoted himself to the profession of a teacher, gave birth to five children.
Heavy military childhood and Viktor Aleksandrovich Shirokov. At the beginning of the war at the front father died. The Tver village with a beautiful name Christmas, where the family lived, was captured by the Germans. Invaders in wagons sent villagers to Germany, among them was the family’s domain – a mother and three children. In the way from the hardships and privations of dead brothers. The Soviet Army managed to repel the train, however, the native village was completely burned and destroyed by the Nazis, and lived in a dugout. From hunger, cold and disease mother died Victor. Family Shirokova survived it alone.
