More than 700 thousand packs of unlabeled cigarettes were found by Pskov customs officers in Velikoluksky district

More than 700 thousand packs of cigarettes without Russian excise stamps were found by Pskov customs officers in a warehouse in Velikoluksky district. According to preliminary estimates, their value exceeds 80 million rubles.
In the course of operative-search measures customs officers found that on the adjacent territory of a private house one of the villagers had equipped a warehouse for storing cigarettes of Belarusian production. The premises revealed tobacco products of various brands, including «Korona», «FEST», NZ and others. The Russian and his accomplices from Belarus organized a channel of supply of illegal cargo, planning to further sell it in retail stores.
Tobacco products have been seized. The offenders will be prosecuted in accordance with the Russian legislation.
Criminal liability under Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (storage, transportation or sale of goods and products without labeling provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation) is envisaged for this fact;
