More than 3 tons of illegal sanctions pears came to Russia

Another batch of embargoed goods were seized by the inspectors of the Novosibirsk customs together with representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Novosibirsk region.

More than 3 tons of pear varieties “Conference” from EU countries illegally came to Russia and had to sell one of the markets of the city of Novosibirsk.

On the boxes of pears were traces ripped off the labels, wash the stamps indicating attempts to remove the original labeling on the country of origin of the goods.

This batch of pears revealed during the RAID on the outlets of the officers of the Department to control the importation and trafficking of goods from customs control after release of goods Novosibirsk customs.

Any documents for the goods the sellers to provide the customs officers are unable, explained that pears purchased at one of the markets of Moscow and planned to implement in the city of Novosibirsk.

Based on the totality of the facts revealed found that pears have characteristics of sanctioned goods designated in the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 6 August 2014 No. 560 “On applying certain special economic measures to ensure security of the Russian Federation”.

According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation from July 29, 2015 No. 391, and the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 31, 2015 No. 774, goods seized and destroyed by the staff of the office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Novosibirsk region at the landfill of municipal waste in the presence of officials of the Novosibirsk customs.

This is the fourth batch of sanctions, identified the Novosibirsk customs together with representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Novosibirsk region for the first two months 2020. Earlier, in January 2020, was seized 75 kg of poultry meat from the United States and 506 kg of pears from Belgium.

In 2019 inspectors of Novosibirsk customs have been prevented implementation of more than 26 tons of such products.
