Mobile groups of Omsk customs to protect residents from counterfeit and prevent the export of strategically important resources and medical products
Mobile groups of customs Omsk fifth year continues to monitor the importation into the territory of the Russian Federation of goods, “exemptions”, sanctions of goods prohibited to be imported in areas close to the road checkpoints on the Russian-Kazakh border, in cooperation with regulatory and law enforcement agencies of the region.
In recent years, the control functions of the mobile units of customs expanded: the customs control over the export of strategic resources from the territory of the Russian Federation.
For the first half of the year 2020 in the border area with the Republic of Kazakhstan mobile teams of the Omsk customs inspected almost 3 thousand freight vehicles. The result is detained and seized 26 thousand units of counterfeit products. The main group of detained counterfeit goods were light industry products (jackets, tracksuits, trousers, children’s clothing), marked trademarks of famous brands “REEBOK”, “PUMA”, “ADIDAS”, etc. the Total damage caused to the rightholders of the trademarks exceeds more than 76 million rubles. According to the facts of illegal use of trademarks 4 criminal cases under part 1 of article 180 of the criminal code.
The officers of the Omsk customs in the exercise of control with respect to strategically important resources (the movement of timber with a view to their exportation from the territory of the Russian Federation) revealed 40 cases of violations of the current legislation. The total volume of timber in respect of which revealed violations amounted to 1450 m3. On the facts of illegal movement of timber 4 criminal cases under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code
Within half a year, during a pandemic, novel coronavirus infection, prevented the export of the region 800 of respirators and 300 liters of disinfectant. On the facts of non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions on the export of goods from the territory of the Russian Federation initiated 2 cases on administrative offences under article 16.3 of the administrative code.

For the purpose of prevention of import to the Russian Federation and export from the territory of the state of the goods falling under the special economic measures, officers of the Omsk customs carried out control measures around the clock in the framework of interagency cooperation with the territorial units of Federal bodies of Executive power of Omsk region: the Border Department of the FSB of Russia, the transport Prosecutor’s office, administrations of the Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor, the West Siberian inter-regional management of state road supervision of the Federal service for supervision in the sphere of transport, the Department of forestry in Omsk region.
