Irkutsk customs has brought to administrative responsibility the citizen of Uzbekistan for the import of more than one kilogram nasvay
Irkutsk customs office opened a case on an administrative offense concerning the citizen of Uzbekistan on the fact of not declaring more than one kilogram of securitising blend tobacco “nasvay”.
Tobacco and tobacco products, including “nasvay”, included in the list of goods for personal use prohibited or restricted for import to the territory of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU) and are subject to customs clearance.
The offense was detected (with the use of screening x – ray equipment and sniffer dogs) in mid-March, when exercising customs control of the flight, arrived in Irkutsk from Tashkent. When crossing the customs border of the EEU in the international air border crossing point Irkutsk, the citizen has neglected the current legislation and customs control went by the “green” corridor, while “forgetting” to bring in the passenger customs Declaration information on the availability of this product.
In addition, the Irkutsk customs officers have also identified the violator exceeding the import of tobacco products (nasvay) the excess of import norms. Currently, for personal reasons citizens are permitted to bring into the customs territory of the EAEU 250 gr. tobacco and 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars; or the specified products in assortment, the total weight not exceeding 250 grams. one person under 18 years of age.
The withdrawn mixture is sent for examination. On the advice of the expert-criminalistic service – a branch of ZACTU, Novosibirsk, recognize these products tobacco, Irkutsk customs on 12 may 2020 initiated a case on administrative offense (AP).

We remind you that the international air border crossing point Irkutsk in the second half of March (according to the governmental order of the Russian Federation) imposed a temporary restriction on the departure of all foreign countries, or the arrival of them, except for flights for the export from abroad of Russians as well as foreigners from Russia.

Nasvay – a traditional Central Asian chewing tobacco, which includes slaked lime, can also include ash of various plants, camel dung or chicken manure, sometimes oil, and purified cigarette or tobacco dust. Accordingly, the import nasvay subject to the same legislation as for the import of conventional tobacco products.
