In Kyzyl customs officers stopped smuggling of derivatives

Employees of the Krasnoyarsk Customs Service in the Republic of Tyva found 8 parts of especially valuable wild animals in the luggage of a foreign citizen. A service dog helped to detect the derivatives.
a 40-year-old citizen of an Asian country was transiting through Kyzyl Airport. To pass pre-flight control the man presented his luggage, to which the customs service dog reacted.
As a result of personal examination of the foreigner and checking his luggage together with the officers of the Siberian Line Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the customs officers revealed derivatives of bear, deer and musk deer with a total value of more than 100 thousand rubles.
The air passenger had no authorization documents for the export of derivatives.
Krasnoyarsk Customs Service of the Republic of Tyva initiated criminal proceedings under part 3 of article 30, part 1 of article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted smuggling of derivatives of especially valuable wild animals on a large scale). The foreigner faces a penalty of imprisonment for up to seven years with a fine of up to one million rubles.
