In two cases, the offenders were citizens of Belarus, who tried to smuggle more than 800 packs of Belarusian-made cigarettes through the Krasny Kamen checkpoint in their personal cars. The cigarettes lacked excise stamps and a single sign of circulation in the EAEU market
“The absence of excise stamps indicates that the goods were imported illegally and not paid taxes, – explained the head of the department of control over importation and turnover of goods Bryansk customs Viktor Tolochko, – also tobacco products of all categories must necessarily be labeled in the system “Honest Mark”, which guarantees the safety of products for the end consumer.”
