700 kg of unlabeled fruit and vegetable products detected by Perm customs officers

During a customs inspection at a wholesale food market, Perm customs officers together with officials from Rosselkhoznadzor and Perm Transport Prosecutor’s Office revealed 700 kg of fruit and vegetable products (tomatoes, radishes, peppers, tangerines) without labeling.
Documents confirming the country of origin, declaration, time and place of crossing the borders of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Russian Federation were not provided.
The detected products were withdrawn from trade turnover.
– Inspection activities in the domestic market are carried out on a regular basis, as the presence in trade turnover of products without labeling and shipping documents may pose a threat to the health of citizens, – explained Deputy Head of Perm Customs – Head of Service Pavel Terekhov.
